EACTP launches new directory of members
The European Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals (EACTP) has launched a new online directory to help promote its members.
The directory gives contact details and biographical information about each of its members. It is also easily searchable to enable people looking to employ a turnaround manager to search by skills or countries of expertise.
EACTP president Tyrone Courtman said: "The addition of this directory is part of our continuing investment in benefits for members, and we hope it will prove not only a useful marketing tool for them, but also a valuable directory for the buyers of turnaround management skills."
The EACTP provides the only pan-European accreditation scheme for all turnaround professionals across the continent. Its programme offers an independent industry standard kitemark of quality in the practice of turnaround and restructuring, and promotes the increasing significance of this specialised profession in today’s business environment.
It has a growing membership of professionals from across Europe, with members from the UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, France, Ireland, Finland, Romania, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland.
The EACTP is currently allowing applicants with a strong turnaround record to be certified on the basis of their experience. However from next year all applicants will need to pass technical examinations, and work is well under way to establish a curriculum covering finance and accounting, turnaround management and law, in preparation for the first EACTP exam in November next year.
Tyrone added: "Given we will be shortly making it compulsory for all new prospective members to pass our technical examinations in addition to demonstrating substantive practical experience, now is an ideal final chance for individuals to join and avoid the rigours of having to take a professional examination."
