Chiel Ruiter is a seasoned turnaround professional with extensive international experience of business critical recovery, recapitalization and M&A assignments. His experience as turnaround executive includes a range of companies and spans different industry sectors, including manufacturing, wholesale, construction, maintenance, distribution, high-tech, engineering, media, telecom, aviation, cosmetics, fashion and property. He is a partner at Catapult, an independent advisory boutique delivering turnaround management and restructuring support as well as mergers & acquisitions services to companies facing tough and unfamiliar challenges.

He has also independently invested in distressed companies and special situations, managed the turnaround and exit of such companies/investments. Prior to his executive and advisory roles, Chiel was a senior M&A banker with a number of bulge bracket US and European investment banks in the UK, Afrika, Middle East and Europe. Chiel holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente and is fluent in English, German and Dutch.
