Gavin has 30 years of experience in the retail sector as a financially qualified retail operator, turned consultant, turned distressed investor. He is CEO of Alteri Investors, a joint venture between leading alternative investor Apollo Global Management, LLC, and the former management team of retail restructuring firm GA Europe. Alteri invests in stressed and distressed retail situations in Europe, combining hands-on restructuring and operational expertise with financial firepower. Prior to establishing Alteri Investors, he was CEO of GA Europe, an independent Chief Restructuring Officer for retail and consumer businesses, and Partner/Head of Retail at Ernst & Young UK. Gavin originally trained as a chartered accountant before working in retail operations at Dixons and then moving into retail consulting.
