Education and Training Committee

The Education and Training Committee is responsible for determining the form of the theoretical knowledge examinations, its syllabus and content, examination papers and method. It also determines the requirements for continuing professional development. This includes approving the training organisations recognised by the EACTP for the provision of theoretical knowledge sufficient to enable candidates to sit the theoretical knowledge examinations and for the ongoing provision of continuing professional development education. The committee is chaired by Alan Tilley.

Professor Jan Adriaanse

Professor Jan Adriaanse

Prof. dr. Jan Adriaanse is full professor of Turnaround Management at the Department of Business Studies of the Leiden Law School. He is engaged in research projects in the interdisciplinary field of financial distress, turnaround management and insolvency law. Jan is co-founder of BFI, a corporate finance firm based in Amsterdam specializing in valuations, investigations and turnaround advisory.

Jeroen Knikkink

Jeroen Knikkink

Jeroen Knikkink is a hands-on Restructuring expert and involved always from the corporate side. He started his career with Ceteco, working last 2 years for the receives selling the assets in Latin-America. In the Netherlands involved with 2nd largest supermarket and it financial restructuring by right share issue and consequently a divestment programme of non-core, foreign and non-performing assets. From 2005 onwards he undertook many interim Finance Director and Restructuring roles, successfully dealing with challenging turnarounds, mergers, carve-in and out and disposals. Assignments have spanned much of Europe, particularly the Benelux region and Spain as well as various countries in Latin America. Industry sectors include Construction, Retail, FMCG, Import / Export and Food Manufacturing. Educated in the Netherlands and UK, Leeds University, Leiden University (Turnaround Management) and Insead (Leading Organisations in Disruptive Times).

Roger Olivieri

Roger Olivieri

Roger Olivieri is Partner at Bignami Associati since 2012, with offices based in Milan and Rome. He gives professional advice in corporate governance, M&A and company turnaround and pre-insolvency situations. In distressed and turnaround situation he advices management and shareholders and takes care of relationships with all stakeholders.

He is Certified Public Accountant, Auditor and Advisor since 1993. He is member of TMA Italy since 2013 and BoD Chairman since 2021. He is also member of Nedcommunity (NED Italian Association) and part of SME’s reflection group. He is graduated with honors in Business Economics from “Università G. d’Annunzio” and attended several specialization courses in Corporate Finance.

Alain Le Berre

Alain Le Berre has 24 years of broad-ranging experience with a focus on financial and debt restructuring, operational restructuring and improvements, debt advisory, accelerated M&A and non-executive board advisory and membership. Prior to founding AlpahaConsulting in 2010, his positions had included investment banking, financial and strategic consulting, private equity as well as operational management roles, CFO position and non-executive directorships.
